Ohio Lottery Results: Informing Players of What They Are

When it comes to lottery results, Ohio lottery results take the cake. Keep in mind that the state of Ohio has nearly 6 million residents and eleven different result oriented lottery games. In addition, almost every game has its' own time and place that the results will originate from. With six million residents, eleven different lotteries, and a different time and place that each lottery game's results are communicated, it is very important that the state utilizes several avenues to communicate Ohio lottery results to the state's lottery players.

One way that Ohio lottery results for daily drawings are communicated is through local affiliate television. The Ohio Lottery Association airs the results of lotteries on fourteen different television stations, through four major media affiliates, across ten different television markets. For instance, the Ohio lottery results are aired on local ABC, CBS, and FOX channels in the Lima television market but only on one of those local affiliate channels in the Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Youngstown television markets.

Another way that Ohio lottery results are communicated to the residents of Ohio is through the state's very own ohiolottery.com website. The ohiolottery.com website exclusively communicates the results for the Classic Lotto and Rolling Cash 5 games. Lottery players can go to the website on a Monday, Wednesday, or Saturday at 8:00 pm and see the live drawing. A few minutes after 8:00 pm, the Ohio lottery results for Classic Lotto and Rolling Cash 5 are streamed across the bottom of television stations and updated to the sight.

The final way that Ohio lottery results are communicated to lottery players is through cable television. Ohio was able to utilize local broadcast affiliates for its' own lotteries (pick 3, pick 4,) but for the national lotteries (Powerball and Mega Millions) they have no control over the airing. For instance, the Mega Millions and Powerball results are aired on cable channel WGN. WGN is a cable station based out of Chicago. It is worth noting that, Powerball results are not final until they are audited by the Harvey, Covington & Thomas, LLC accounting firm.

To recap, Ohio lottery results are everywhere. Results for exclusive lotteries are held on local affiliate stations; the state's largest exclusive drawings are only showcased live online and then streamed across the bottom of television stations; and the state's two national lotteries are aired on a cable station based out of Chicago. No matter what medium it is, Ohio lottery results will be able to be witnessed, heard, or seen across the state; and in some cases beyond.
